Our story

With a combined 30 years in the industry, we are thrilled to finally pursue our own vision at Smokey Sunrise in Brevard. Having helped other owners flourish, and watched some fail, we have a unique perspective on how our customers, and even more importantly, our employees should be treated. Our goal is to bring an exciting new concept to the Brevard community through our elevated menu with down-to-earth pricing and elegant, yet simple decor.

We met, fell in love, and married here in the mountains while working as an executive chef and front of the house manager. You will definitely find our son wandering the premises greeting everyone.

We understand the former Mayberry’s was a hometown favorite and although the food is different, we hope to continue the same friendly, customer-first atmosphere they cultivated for years.
